Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls Lifts Ban on 15 Countries

A few days ago, Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls made headlines as the feared country restriction on PC did in fact come true. This, however, isn’t the first time a Playstation-published game releasing on PC has run into this situation. Helldivers 2 and Stellar Blade were recent high-profile releases which were initially restricted in over a hundred countries.

Sony received massive backlash on both which prompted them to lift the restrictions in some regions. While everyone thought (or expected) Sony learned from those, that is not entirely the case. They tried the same approach with Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls, as it was spotted banned in over 130 countries. The restrictions and the reception were the same, and now, it looks like the remedy is too. At least, that seems to be the direction things are heading.

X user Virum_FG shared a SteamDB update showing that 15 countries have been removed from the restricted list including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Dominican Republic, Estonia, Egypt, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Moldova, Philippines, Pakistan, Serbia, and Uzbekistan.

While there are still 117 countries where the game remains unavailable, this is a good sign. If they are lifting restrictions across some regions, it is highly likely that there is more to come. For now, patience to those who are waiting and celebration for those who have been accepted to join the arena.

Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls will officially launch on August 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
