In Echoes of the End, you play as Ryn, with Abram by your side. The game was made by an Icelandic studio, and you can really feel the Nordic influence on the universe. This story-driven game mixes action (magic, fighting), story parts, puzzles and technical problems, but it has a lot of heart. Even though it has a few technical problems, it's a brave first game that will appeal to most players who just want a mix of action and emotion, rather than a 'perfect' game.
Echoes of the End is the first title made by Myrkur Games and it's an ambitious one. The game blends third-person action combat, puzzles and offers a cinematic narrative. The world seems very interesting and rich, there's a good variety of combos and the abilities are useful both for fighting and solving puzzles. Overall, I'd say this game is good with the gameplay being its weakest point, the flow of combat doesn't seem to be polished so I guess this is one to get during sales.
I really think that Echoes of the End is like a female version of God of War set in Iceland, you have your powerful warrior Ryn, also magic capable, and the sidekick, Abram, that will help you with puzzles and will offer other insights. A part of the pretty graphics and the quite impressive fights game also offers a cool story of Ryn looking to rescue her brother and while doing that saving the world of the bad guys, simple things getting messy, and because off that I’m gonna love playing it
