About this game

Cross Tales is a fantasy-themed tactical strategy JRPG developed by Rideon, Inc. immerse yourself in a gripping Shakespearean tale of a war-ravaged world. Engage in turn-based battles on a 3D quarter view stage strategically utilizing terrain. For over a decade now the canine kingdom of Ranverfurt and the feline Republic of Hidiq have gone to war with each other, their deep-rooted animosity etched in the cultures of their people. As a player, you will delve into the story-driven adventure from both sides that ultimately reveals the secrets behind the conflict and the influence of an ominous third power.

 
  • There is a total of twenty-four types of classes, including a fixed class for every main character Additionally each character can have a main job and sub-classes. All of the jobs have a skill tree where skills can be learned or strengthened.
  • Passive skills learned can be equipped the slots of which can be increased as the character levels up.
  • The weapons and armor you find can be upgraded by attaching runes to it that grant them additional magical effects.
  • Select a deity to worship from the deity of war to the deity of business, adding bonus values to stats or special abilities that your deity specializes in.

Reviews

Cross Tails is a disappointing game because it has all the components of a masterpiece. However, between flat characters and nonsensical story planning decisions, it fails to leave an impact as anything more than a missed opportunity. Which is also a shame because of how finely the combat is crafted. I enjoyed that and hoped to see it in something with better furnishings.
