At Steam Next Fest, it received praise, and rightly so! A 2D Metroidvania with brush-based combat and platforming sections. The gameplay cannot overshadow the high-quality artistic design, which is naturally based around painting. But it is as slobbery and imperfect as Constance's mental health can be, materialized through visual representations that you will never tire of discovering!
Constance is a new 2D metroidvania platformer that looks a bit like Silksong, so if you are still craving for a game like SK then Constance is gonna compensate for that need. Graphically it is really pretty, a hand drawn painting world and our protagonist is a paintress that wields a brush that will use to defeat the enemies via paint mechanics and will get new skills through sketches. All in all it really reminds of the popular game but still it is original enough to shine on its own
