Black Myth feels like a game that really leans into spectacle without forgetting the basics, the combat has weight, the bosses have personality, and the whole mythic vibe comes through in the art and sound. Even when it’s just quiet exploration between fights, it still has that “you’re in a legend” mood that keeps it easy to stick with, and overall it comes off as a confident, well-crafted action RPG.
Probably due to some development constraints, Black Myth Wukong took a while to be released in the Xbox consoles, after around a year of its original release, it's finally here. The usual graphical modes are available, quality/balanced/performance, with the Series S getting some downgrades in order to run the game well. Overall, for everyone searching for a challenging action-fantasy game, BMW is probably a very good option, with tight combat and some spectacular boss fights.

The new big action adventure of 2024 is gonna take us to mythologic China in Black Myth Wukong where we will follow the path of the Journey to West legend with our protagonist facing lots of huge enemies and learning new skills via transformations to solve the mystery. Game is visually stunning and with spectacular animations and will take all the power of the XBOX to render that beauty thanks to unreal 5 engine but the result is totally worth it.
Inspired by the tale of the Journey to the West, Black Myth Wukong is a challenging action RPG that pays homage to Chinese culture and mythology. It doesn't really claim to be a spiritual game. The graphics are superb and the combat is highly dynamic: you can block attacks and projectiles, dodge, use fire, fight hand-to-hand, use magic... It's very, very promising and I've already pre-ordered it. GOTY possible? Who knows?
