A new Black Myth: Wukong update has rolled out across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, which significantly improves performance and optimizes the Souls-like. However, PlayStation 5 users will need a whopping 93.5GB of free space.

Game Science has finally made significant performance and optimization improvements to Black Myth: Wukong, with patch 1.0.20.21756 improving loading speed, CPU performance, and default graphics settings.
However, players on the PlayStation 5 will need to download 93.5GB to install the patch. That’s a considerable amount of storage, especially since the base game already requires 130GB.
Why the Update Is So Huge
The 93.5GB download on PS5 is down to the console’s file storage system. Although the patch itself isn’t large, PS5 users may end up redownloading significant portions of the game’s original files, which results in a larger download size than necessary.
The Black Myth: Wukong developers told fans on X that if they are unable to download the update on PS5 due to insufficient storage, they should “try deleting the game and redownloading it.” This method would free up the space needed and only require a little longer to download if they were only installing the patch.
Dear Destined Ones, A new update for #BlackMythWukong is on the way. In addition to regular bug fixes, it will also include some performance optimizations.
