    Beat Slayer is a rhythm hack and slash roguelike game developed by ByteRockers’ Games, instead of just being in the background the music takes center stage! Step into the shoes of Mia, a badass music lover and tinkerer, battling hordes of robots in a 90s inspired dystopian Berlin. There is only one rule STAY ON BEAT!

     
    • Each move you make Is counted if it matches the rhythm of the soundtrack, failure to do so will incur a severe penalty. You can’t button mash with this one; only smooth and skillful gameplay will lead you to victory against the army of robots and their imposing bosses. 
    • Take advantage of Mia’s nimble move set and decide within seconds what you should do, dash to disengage or engage? Use basic attacks to charge up your drive bar or spread your status effects. Kick them against the wall or into each other? The choice is yours. 
    • Every run will play differently and can be influenced by your playstyle, adjust your tolerance of risk, pick a worthy starting weapon, upgrades, and a growing skillset. 
    • Explore dystopian Berlin with your unconventional team or rebels, discover its diverse locations from towering rooftops to underground bunkers while your allies assist with upgrades, weapons, and valuable insights.

    Beat Slayer is Hades meets Hi-Fi Rush and it lives up to its name of slaying some brilliant tunes. A superb art direction blended with intense, frenetic rogue-like action and a pumping techno soundtrack make this a mixtape worth digging out the headphones for. It’s not a perfect record, owing to a lighter story and the odd combat quirk, but it’s one worth having in the collection.
