About this game

Astrodogs is an arcade-style on-rails shoot-em-up game featuring a unique cast of characters that are trying to save the galaxy from the megacorporation known as WOOFER developed by Dynamic Media Triad. Everything was peaceful in the galaxy until suddenly without warning the giant megacorporation WOOFER suddenly went rogue and attacked planets all over the system. The only ones that can stop them are a group of freelance bounty hunters, the leader of this group is a Shiba Inu named Kombo joining him and his crew in an adventure of a lifetime through the stars to save all of puppydom.

• Battle WOOFER’s armies through 10 beautifully made levels made with replayability in mind, make use of a wide variety of weapons like remote controlled bombs, hyper beams, homing missiles, and parry shields. Activate the Slow-Mo mode if you’re in a pinch to escape the direst situations.
• You can only have 4 different special weapons at the same time choose carefully what you want to keep depending on the situation, roll like a barrel to deflect bullets right back at your enemies or as mentioned before slow down time and aim down the sights perfectly but you can only use it a limited number of times.
• Travel through the colorful galaxy with varied environments and discover the secrets behind the megacorporation’s invasion, the more you play the game the more skins for your ship you can unlock.
• The hand-drawn cast of characters are oozing with personality, and the villains themselves have unique looking mechs and battleships that are just itching to fight you.

it offers an incredible package in terms of visuals and sound. I have some minor complaints about the camera in conjunction with the movement system, and some very select boss design issues, but overall it’s hard not to absolutely love Astrodogs. Even with a couple of blemishes, this is easily one of the best games of this type currently available on Switch.
