Xbox Retro Classics Adds 4 New Games for January 2026
Retro Classics catalog expands with 4 new titles as part of the Xbox January Update, bringing the collection to over 100 games.
Xbox Retro Classics has kicked off 2026 with its first library update of the year, adding four new classic titles to the Retro Classics app. The latest drop continues Microsoft’s effort to grow its retro catalog, which now surpasses the 100-game mark.
New Additions To Xbox Retro Classics Library
The January update introduces a selection of well-known classics spanning the early 1980s and early 1990s, with a strong focus on Atari 2600-era games alongside a notable Amiga release. The newly added titles are:
- Codename: Iceman
- Plaque Attack
- Police Quest 2
- Space Shuttle
With these four games now available, the Xbox Retro Classics app has grown to 103 total titles. Throughout 2025, Microsoft released four updates for the Retro Classics library, steadily expanding the catalog and ultimately pushing it beyond the 100-game milestone promised at launch.
Since they’ve done their initial goal, the question is, how often will the library be updated now? Well if TrueAchievement is correct, this January drop may also signal a shift toward monthly updates for the Retro Classics app in 2026.
