Xbox and Bethesda E3 Showcase Praised by Sony
Sony decided not to attend E3 2021, making it the third year in a row they skipped the premier gaming event, but they were watching, and they had praise for Xbox.

XBOX AND XBOX GAME PASS DOMINATE E3 2021
This year, it seemed more important to have an E3; with all the ongoing world events, we all needed something to take our minds off things for a few hours.
And that is just what Xbox did. They showed us games and made us excited for what’s to come this year and next.
This year, there were some massive reveals from Xbox and Bethesda, including news on Halo Infinite, Starfield, The Outer Worlds 2, Slime Rancher 2, Psychonauts 2, and RedFall.
In all, there were 30 titles in the Xbox and Bethesda showcase, with 27 of them heading straight to Xbox Game Pass at launch.
It was a massive statement of intent, and it did not go unnoticed by Sony.
SONY PRAISES XBOX SHOWCASE
Despite not being there, Sony seemed to have enjoyed what Xbox presented, and a couple of their executives tweeted out their support.
Hermen Hulst, Head of PlayStation Studios, tweeted out that it’s a “Great time to be a gamer.”
And in truth, it is. Microsoft and Xbox have come a long way, and with Xbox Game Pass, they are starting to see a lot more support for what they are doing.
Their acquisition of ZeniMax could see great things for Bethesda in the future too.
Former President of SIE Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, also tweeted out his congratulations.
This latest showcase from Xbox puts pressure onto PlayStation, and next year we could see some big changes to their subscription service as they compete with Microsoft.
