When Does Obi-Wan Kenobi Start on Disney+?

The next Star Wars series set to release on Disney+ is Obi-Wan Kenobi, and now Disney has announced the date.

OBI-WAN KENOBI RELEASE DATE ON DISNEY PLUS REVEALED

Obi-Wan Kenobi, which sees Ewan McGregor reprise his role as the Jedi Master, is slated for a 2022 release date.

Disney has seen massive success and critical acclaim for recent series’ The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

It only makes sense then that excitement amongst Star Wars fans hit an all-new high when they announced Obi-Wan Kenobi would get his own series on Disney+.

Set ten after Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan Kenobi will see Ewan McGregor return and see Hayden Christensen return to play Darth Vader.

Before it was announced, a Disney Plus employee announced the release date of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Twitter before quickly locking their account.

The tweet revealed a May 2022 date, with many at first believing the date instead referred to Marvel’s new Obi-Wan comic, which is due to launch in May.

The Hollywood Reporter later confirmed that the Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series would debut in May.

Now, Disney has also confirmed a May release date, revealing we can say “Hello, there” to Obi-Wan Kenobi on May 25.
