Fatshark has just released a huge class overhaul patch for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, and dropped the price by 35% on Steam. The midweek deal ends on October 18.

WHAT IS DARKTIDE?

Drawing inspiration from Warhammer: Vermintide 2’s legendary melee combat, Darktide catapults you into the heart of 40K warfare, where gunfire echoes alongside the clash of chainswords.

From scorching industrial factories to the rain-soaked, decaying water maintenance zone, Tertium Hive is an unforgiving place, even in the best of times.

Your mission is clear: serve the zealous Inquisition by purging the lurking threats within the hive city, or meet your fate head-on.

CLASS OVERHAUL UPDATE

Darktide has bid farewell to the old Feats system and ushered in the era of Talent Trees!

For some Classes, this means we’ve dialed down the initial strength of Baseline Abilities, but fear not – you can regain that lost power as you progress deeper into the Trees.

Say goodbye to the five-level wait to unlock new feats. Now, every level you reach will grant you a precious Talent Point, and you can accumulate up to 30 points by reaching level 30.

You’ll be pleased to know that most of the Feats you cherished are now scattered throughout these Talent Trees. So, if you had a favorite build and playstyle before, rest assured that you can recreate it with these changes.
