Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer’s Legacy is a rogue-lite RPG from Ludomotion set to release on Xbox and PC.
The Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer’s Legacy launch trailer, linked above, shows off a few of the game’s features and enemies.
Playing as the Wayfarer, you must navigate the dangerous world as you look to destroy the Staff of Yendor.
That journey will see you battle creatures, manage food resources, and survive in dangerous landscapes.
Like many rogue-lites, Unexplored 2 features procedurally generated worlds and permadeath; however, they come with a twist.
When your Wayfarer dies, you can choose to continue their legacy by taking on the quest again and entering the world a few years later with a new hero.
Every run is unique and will feature different encounters and challenges.
However, you can prepare for future Wayfarers by leaving items for them to find from previous attempts.
If you fail your mission at the final stage, the world and your legacy will end for good, and you will need to begin it all again.
Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer’s Legacy launches on Xbox One and Xbox Series X and Series S on 3 June and PC on 27 May.
