Just a few days after the promo trailer, the GungHo and Falcom team are bringing awesome new updates on Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. The highly anticipated 3D remake of the first chapter of Falcom’s JRPG series. Dropping today, August 21, 2025, a look at the Opening Movie of the Game.
A fantastic Intro Trailer that fans will recognize as a 3D adaptation of the classic Trailer from 2004 / 2011 on PSP. Showcasing the new graphics and animations of the Remake. With the team also confirming its release on Nintendo Switch 2. Although it remains to be seen if it will be available at launch on September 19, 2025.
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter: Demo Available Now
But the most surprising news is that along with the Intro reveal, GungHo is also dropping the Game Demo. Available starting today, August 21, 2025, on Steam and Playstation 5 globally. With the Switch version already available in Japan and coming later to the West.
The game demo lets you play through the beginning of the Remake. Specifically, you’ll get to play as the duo of Estelle and Joshua, who will later be joined by their ally Scherazard. You can explore the game’s Prologue plus some missions in the Rolent region. It all wraps up with a Boss Fight. You’ll be able to transfer your save data and continue the adventure in the full game.
