The Ramp is a simple but fun skateboarding game brought to you by Berlin-based solo developer Paul Schnepf (Hyperparadise). It is available now for PC on Steam.
If you’re looking for something to play just to pass some time, The Ramp is a perfect addition to your library.
The developer is pretty straightforward when describing the game. It’s basically a skateboarding game that lets you experience how vert skateboarding feels in real-life. That’s it. On Steam, Schnepf says, “There is a lot this game doesn’t feature. What it offers you are the 15 minutes of flow that make a boring day great, at the price of a medium sized cinnamon pistachio latte to go.” There’s nothing to unlock, no missions nor scores to beat, and not even guns.
As simple as that may sound, don’t be fooled as the game is “hard to master.”
The Ramp released in August 3rd, and just a couple of weeks out, it has already received Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam, with players praising how it has a lot of potential, and that they’re craving more content.
