#1: Monster Hunter World: That is a Large (Cute) Fish

Our first clip today comes from Monster Hunter World. In the game, streamer crowmunist is standing by a pond looking for fish to catch. One appears particularly large, and she decides to catch it. She casts her line, the fish swims toward the bait, leaps out of the water, and attacks her directly. Thus, the hunter becomes the hunted, even while simply fishing. Her reaction is entirely justified; who would not scream if their dinner suddenly lunged at them?

#2: Minecraft: An Unexpected Jump Scare

Here we see a player casually jumping off a cliff in Minecraft, executing a few small water MLGs. After several successful and unsuccessful attempts, he jumps into the water, where he is immediately greeted by a sea creature. The title mentions a jump scare, so one might expect a Guardian or a Drowned, but no, it is a squid that appears right in the player’s face.

#3: Half Life 2: Task Failed Successfully

We have rapidly reached our final clip, which today comes from Half-Life 2. This video is courtesy of streamer and YouTuber Nyanners. In the clip, she is playing Half-Life 2 and attempting to solve a puzzle. She believes she must turn a handwheel or destroy it with her crowbar. When that fails, she resorts to a hand grenade to solve the issue. The grenade bounces off and lands a few meters away near a barrel, which explodes and thereby solves the puzzle. She completed the puzzle entirely by accident. Congratulations.
