Frost Giant Games has announced the release date for Stormgate: Campaign One – Ashes of the Earth as August 5, 2025. The campaign will launch out of Early Access with twelve missions, which the developer plans to expand on in future updates.
Campaign One, titled Ashes of the Earth, will launch as a complete story and will bring the free-to-play RTS out of Early Access.
The game’s launch out of Early Access is only the first part of an ambitious plan, with Frost Giant Games promising additional modes and features by the first half of 2026.

Stormgate: Campaign One – Ashes of the Earth is the first complete story for fans to delve into, with Frost Giant Games aiming for it to be the primary mode for players, along with the game’s 1v1 mode.
The campaign features twelve full missions, with the developer promising further missions down the line. For now, all units are complete, with Frost Giant Games declaring its core factions as “fun and competitive,” although additional tier 3 units will come in future updates.
When Does Campaign One Launch?
Ashes of the Earth launches for Stormgate on August 5, 2025, on Steam. As mentioned, the campaign is complete, and progress carries over for those who started it during Early Access.
For the moment, players can pause missions and save/load at checkpoints. However, full save/load support is coming in a later update.
