Shift Up is teasing something new for Stellar Blade this week. Could it be a Crossover with a Horror game?

Stellar Blade is the acclaimed third-person action game from the South Korean team Shift Up. It’s the team’s first major project as a AAA developer, a game that has been in development since 2021 and launched in 2024 on PS5. It achieved huge success thanks to a heroine with a captivating design and solid gameplay. Not to mention its interesting post-apocalyptic world.

A highly requested PC version finally launched on 11 June 2025, becoming the most successful port among single-player former Playstation exclusives. Following the successful launch of Stellar Blade on PC, and the collabs with NieR:Automata and Goddess of Victory: Nikke, the Shift Up team has some news. The South Korean team left us with an enigmatic image of a creepy alley at night. The image was shared on Twitter (X) on 19 September 2025.

And with the promise of a reveal coming this week. A week that happens to coincide with the highly anticipated Tokyo Game Show 2025. While the team has not yet confirmed their participation at the event, they might appear in the Playstation lineup.

 

Stellar Blade’s New Crossover: Resident Evil or Silent Hill f?

The creepy image and its timing have therefore sparked strong interest from the community. The potential new Stellar Blade crossover seems to be hinting at a horror theme. So much so that many fans are discussing which IP it could be.

Many believe it’s Silent Hill f, which is releasing on 25 September 2025 and is one of the most anticipated titles. Meanwhile, other fans of Shift Up’s games are talking about a collab with Resident Evil, given the recent REBORN EVIL collab on Nikke. A collab that kicks off on 24 September 2025 and features the arrival of Jill Valentine, Ada Wong, and Claire Redfield.
