Stellar Blade has quickly become one of 2024’s breakout hits. From the long wait since its announcement to its eventual PS5 debut, the game managed to exceed expectations with its stylish combat, eye-catching visuals, and strong character design.

And with a PC launch now just around the corner, many are asking, what’s next? A sequel, of course. Because let’s face it, Stellar Blade was too good to be left as a one-off. While we still dream of an Xbox release to truly complete the lineup, nothing would cement the game’s legacy more than a full-fledged follow-up.

 

Stellar Blade Sequel Targeted To Release in 2026

Although Shift Up hasn’t made an official announcement for Stellar Blade 2, gamers have uncovered some compelling evidence in the company’s latest investor presentation. In one of the roadmap charts, 2024 is clearly marked for the console release which lines up with the original PS5 launch. Next, there’s a “platform expansion” section believed to represent the PC release coming this June. But sandwiched between this and the highly speculated 2027 project titled Project Witches, there’s the sequel’s planned debut.

The timeline suggests the Stellar Blade sequel could drop anytime between late 2025 and 2026. However, given standard development cycles and let’;s just be conservative, it’s far more likely we’ll see Stellar Blade 2 arrive sometime in 2026.

   

In the meantime, Stellar Blade is gearing up for its long-awaited PC debut on June 11 available via Steam and Epic Games Store. The launch also includes a Complete Edition for both PC and PlayStation 5, bundling together the base game, a range of cosmetic items for EVE, and additional content.

PC players should be aware though that the Steam version of Stellar Blade is currently region-locked in 130 countries. The issue is reportedly under review by both Shift Up and Sony, with speculation pointing to PSN parameters which should not be the case since it is not mandatory to play the PC version.
