Stellar Blade New Game Plus Confirmed by Director

Stellar Blade’s game director, Kim Hyeong-tae, has revealed that the upcoming PS5-exclusive title will receive a New Game Plus mode after its launch and that it will be free.

Speaking to Korean news site Ruliweb, Hyeong-tae said although Stellar Blade won’t have New Game+ at launch, it will come, and it will be free, noting that the game would not have any microtransactions other than “if we create collaboration costumes with another company’s IP.”

In the same article he also stated that DLC plans were not fully decided but that players can expect roughly 30 outfits for protagonist EVE in the base game.

Stellar Blade is a fast-paced, action-packed adventure in which you play as EVE, a member of the 7th Airborne Squad, who lands on Earth with a mission to save humankind and destroy the Naytiba. Throughout the story-driven epic, you’ll slice your way through what remains of our planet, cutting through enemies, tackling bosses, and make critical decisions that will change how to story unfolds.

Releasing on April 26 on PS5, Stellar Blade will be a PlayStation-exclusive title, but with Sony Interactive Entertainment’s recent history of putting games on PC, I’d expect it to launch on Steam and Epic Games in a year or so.
