This is a bold claim. Jedi: Survivor launched in 2023, meaning a 2026 release would mark a tight three-year development cycle. For comparison, the gap between Fallen Order and Survivor was four years.

 

Development Hurdles and Leadership Changes

Skeptics point to major internal shifts at Respawn as a potential delay factor. Stig Asmussen, the game director responsible for the series’ success, left the studio shortly after Survivor shipped.

Additionally, EA underwent layoffs affecting various teams. A three-year turnaround amidst leadership changes and restructuring is ambitious. However, the foundational tech is already in place.
