Sons of the Forest 1.0: Trailer Shows Gameplay Ahead of Launch

Sons of the Forest 1.0 release date confirmed

A year after releasing into Early Access, survival horror Sons of the Forest has an official release date after developer Endnight Games dropped a 1.0 trailer.

Sons of the Forest is the sequel to 2014’s The Forest, thrusting players once more into a life-and-death struggle on a cannibal-infested island. Survival depends on your ability to gather scarce resources, craft crude weapons, build shelter, and defend yourself against the endless horrors of mutated creatures and cannibals.

The Sons of the Forest 1.0 trailer shows off some mechanics anyone wanting to pick it up on launch day can expect, including hang gliders, golf carts, and a GPS map. There are also quick snippets of a few terrifying enemies players must contend with while exploring and foraging.

And of course, as it’s a 1.0 release, other new features in Sons of the Forest you can expect include additional items, more buildings, and more story content.
