Sonic Colors Ultimate Digital Download Version Available Now

Sonic Colors Ultimate, the technically revised remake of Sonic Colors, is available now, but not all its versions. Players who wish to have a physical copy of the game would have to wait as SEGA has postponed its release due to logistical concerns.

The digital download version, however, is not affected. The game is available to download now on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Sonic Colors Ultimate Physical Copies Launching Soon

The good news is that the wait won’t be that long as SEGA has revealed that the game’s physical version will be available on October 1st. This applies to Sonic Colors Ultimate Standard Edition and Sonic Colors Ultimate Keyring Edition.

The company faced challenges on global shipping because of the ongoing pandemic.

Issues at Launch

Sonic Colors Ultimate also faced some issues when it launched. The game has encountered graphical issues with the bulk of it particularly reported for the game’s Nintendo Switch version.

The game’s frame rate on the Switch is capped at 30FPS – the same one it has when it released on the Wii. Players also reported slow loading times.

SEGA said they’re already looking at fixing this.
