Shadow Labyrinth (SL) is the new 2D action platformer from Bandai Namco. In development since 2020 and first appearing in the promotional episode “Circle” from Amazon’s animated series Secret Level. It was then formally announced at The Game Awards 2024.

Taking us to a darker alternate universe of the Pac-Man series. Here, we’ll follow the swordsman No. 8, accompanied by Puck, as we explore a labyrinth full of enemies, unlocking new items and abilities in a Metroidvania style. Shadow Labyrinth – Now Available

Following the release date reveal from the March Nintendo Direct, today marks the launch of Shadow Labyrinth. A new action RPG adventure in Metroidvania style from the Bandai Namco team, offering an interesting twist on the classic Pac-Man. With today, 18 July 2025, marking the official launch of the game.

A game that offers a dark and certainly unexpected twist for Bandai Namco’s classic IP. Following the swordsman No. 8, guided by Puck, through a labyrinth packed with monsters and the dangerous G-hosts. Shadow Labyrinth – Gameplay and Key Features

The game is part of the 45th Anniversary celebrations for the iconic Pac-Man. Featuring a twist in both genre and atmosphere compared to the classic arcade experience, yet something that players will immediately associate with the series. Thanks to Puck, our little guide who looks just like Pac-Man. Therefore, it offers:

With the Bandai Namco team, leading up to the launch, reminding us of the gameplay showcase from the publisher’s recent Summer Showcase.
