RoboCop Creators Confirm New Unreal Engine 5 Action RPG

RoboCop: Rogue City put developer Teyon on the map as a master of AA gaming

Teyon, the Polish studio that stunned the gaming world with RoboCop: Rogue City and Terminator: Resistance, is staffing up for a major new project.

Job listings have surfaced revealing their next title is an Action RPG powered by Unreal Engine 5. After revitalizing the “movie tie-in” genre, the team is shifting gears from first-person shooters to a broader RPG scope.

Teyon’s Action RPG Details

New job postings on Teyon’s official site confirm the studio is deep in pre-production. The team is looking for a “3D Animal Animator” specifically to work on “various animals, including wolves and dogs.”

These animations aren’t just background fluff. The listing states the animals are central to both gameplay and cinematic cutscenes.

This move to Unreal Engine 5 suggests a significant visual upgrade. While RoboCop: Rogue City looked fantastic on UE5, a dedicated Action RPG structure implies a larger world and deeper mechanics than their previous linear shooters.

Which IP is Teyon Adapting?

The big question remains: Is this an original IP or another licensed classic?

Game Director Piotr Łatochapreviously hinted that the studio wants to stick with famous IPs. Teyon has carved out a profitable niche by taking beloved 80s/90s franchises and treating them with serious respect.

Given the requirement for wolf and dog animations, speculation is running wild. Could it be a John Wick adaptation involving his dog? Or perhaps something more fantasy-oriented like Beastmaster or The Grey? For now, the studio remains silent on the specific brand.

Why Teyon’s New Project Matters

Most licensed games used to be cash grabs. Teyon changed that narrative.

They took Terminator and RoboCop—franchises that had terrible gaming track records—and delivered solid, love-letter experiences to fans. If they apply that same passion to an Action RPG, this is a title to watch.

If you haven’t played their previous work, now is the time to catch up. The prices for their back catalog often drop significantly, offering high-value entertainment for budget-conscious gamers.

Verdict: Is Teyon’s Next Game Worth Watching Closely?

Teyon has earned the benefit of the doubt. Shifting from FPS to Action RPG is a risk, but their technical growth with Unreal Engine 5 is undeniable.

The addition of complex animal AI and animations suggests they are aiming for a more organic, dynamic world than the steel corridors of Detroit or the future war.

If this is another movie license, which franchise fits an Action RPG with wolves?
