Planet Coaster 2 Joins on Xbox Game Pass
Planet Coaster 2 builds on the creative foundation laid by Planet Coaster, expanding the sandbox with deeper customization, improved management systems, and more dynamic park-building tools. Its arrival is part of a packed April 2026 lineup for Xbox Game Pass, with another addition already lined up for tomorrow with Tiny Bookshelf.
Planet Coaster 2 expands upon its acclaimed predecessor by blending deep theme park management with the highly anticipated addition of fully customizable water parks. Players can construct sprawling, interconnected resorts featuring thrilling rollercoasters, twisting water flumes, and sparkling pools using enhanced building tools, nine distinct themes, and unparalleled piece-by-piece customization that even allows scenery to be attached directly to rides. Beyond creative design, the game demands strategic management to balance budgets, maintain park efficiency, and ensure guest happiness like utilizing new visual heat maps and addressing water-specific needs like shade, sunscreen, and lifeguards.
The experience is also more social than ever, introducing cross-platform cooperative building in Sandbox Mode, competitive empire-building in Franchise Mode, and the ability to seamlessly share creations or explore other players’ parks from a first-person perspective.
