
Overwatch New Dev Update Shares Plans for 2017

Blizzard has a new developer update for Overwatch and it talks about the Year in Reviews as well as plans for the next year (2017). Talking in the video is Jeff Kaplan, the director of Overwatch.
Launched in May 2016, Overwatch has become a great hit among gamers. It has gained multiple praise and awards. And the game is continually being supported. In this year alone, the dev’s were able to revamp the game’s competitive mode, skill rating tweaks, and adjustment on placements.

Mr. Kaplan said that all these changes were made possible due to player feedbacks that helped them in their decision making.
New characters were also introduced like Sombra and Ana as well as new maps Eichenwald and Ecopoint Antarctica. An introduction of the arcade mode as well as other modes. Players had also been given the chance to experience seasonal events like the Overwatch Halloween Terror and The Winter Wonderland.
This year had been a great year for Overwatch. Mr. Kaplan said that they are “looking forward to the new year, there is a lot of stuff coming”. The new ‘stuff’ that we can expect from Overwatch is not detailed but here are a few of the things that Mr. Kaplan mentioned. The new map Oasis that is already available in beta is expected to be released first thing next year. More seasonal events can also be expected because we know we love it. Customizations to the communication wheel and spray wheel, special button for team chats, working on multiple new heroes, new maps, Esports as well as the Custom game was mentioned.
