After more than 20 years, Outcast is finally getting its much-awaited sequel through Outcast 2: A New Beginning. The game will have players take on the role of Cutter Slade once again as he returns to the alien world of Adelpha.
A New Beginning is set 20 years after the events of the first game. A robot army has taken over Adelpha, exploiting its resources, and enslaving and killing its citizens. As Cutter Slade, players will be tasked to organize a resistance in order to drive out the invaders, and free the planet’s people from their grasp.
THQ Nordic said Outlast 2: A New Beginning will feature a fast-paced third-person combat along with a non-linear sci-fi story with a dynamic plot that progresses based on the player’s actions.
The game also includes a jetpack to move from one place to another, or jump and glide through the environment. Players also have access to dozens of modules which they can use to create their own weapons.
Outcast 2: A new Beginning does not have a release date at this time, but it will be available for players on PC, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
