Capcom Reopens Switch 2 Preorders for Onimusha: Way of the Sword
While Onimusha: Way of the Sword preorders are well underway ahead of its September 4 release, preorders on Nintendo Switch 2 were temporarily halted after the game’s Nintendo eShop listing became unavailable due to a change in the release date. More than a week later, Capcom has confirmed that the store page is back online, and players interested in the Switch 2 version can now place their digital preorders once again.
Alongside the announcement, Capcom also revealed that all digital preorders made before July 2, 2026 have been canceled. If you placed a digital preorder before that date, you’ll need to preorder the game again starting today if you still plan to purchase it through the Nintendo eShop.
The cancellation only affects digital purchases. Physical preorders including those made through e-Capcom, remain valid and do not require any action from customers.
