No Dishonored Death of the Outsider Technical Issues, Dev Says

There won’t be any Dishonored Death of the Outsider technical issues as compared to Dishonored 2, the game’s developers said. When Dishonored 2 launched, players were plagued with framerate issues, mouse problems, and stuttering, among others.

This will not be the case with Death of the Outsider. According to the game’s co-creative director Harvery Smith, they have learned from the issues they encountered when Dishonored 2 was released. He also said that Death of the Outsider is the best version of Dishonored that they’ve got.

But Death of the Outsider is far from perfect, though. The creators have identified challenges, especially in terms of the game’s sounds. Aside from optimizing different hardware combinations, the creators also had to run simulations to propagate sound and at the same time having an AI react accordingly. This is a challenge, especially in a densely-packed world, Smith says.

Dishonored Death of the Outsider is the standalone expansion to the Dishonored series. It will be available starting 15 September on Steam, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
