Nacon officially confirms that the atmospheric action-horror Hell is Us launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 24, 2026.

Switch 2 owners are finally getting their chance to play Hell is Us. After months of waiting, Nacon has officially confirmed that the action-horror title is heading to Nintendo’s newest console later this year.

Hell is Us is a semi-open world action-adventure title that blends intense melee combat with a heavy emphasis on player-led exploration. The game stands out by removing traditional waypoints and map markers, forcing players to rely on their own observations to navigate the world.

Its journey to launch wasn’t a quick one. Nacon initially announced the project in 2022, though gamers did not get a proper look at the gameplay until a 2024 PlayStation State of Play presentation. A year later, the game officially launched on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

While Nintendo’s Switch 2 was already available by then, the porting process took some time as developers waited for their official Switch 2 kits. This delay was quite common for many titles released last year, but like many too, it made it to Switch 2’s finish line this year.

Fans got their first major clue last month when an ESRB rating for Hell is Us on Switch 2 appeared online. This of course signaled fans that an announcement was close.
