The Monster Train is back with an exciting new installment! Monster Train 2 has been officially announced, bringing more strategic deck-building, tactical combat, and roguelike action to fans of the original.
The first Monster Train was a critically acclaimed deck-builder that blended traditional card-based strategy with multi-tiered battles, setting itself apart in the genre. Now, Big Fan Games is taking it even further with Monster Train 2.
Monster Train 2 Announced And Released A Public Demo
Big Fan Games made it official on their X account, confirming that Monster Train 2 will be releasing. The second installment is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
While there is no confirmed release date, players won’t have to wait too long to get a taste of the game. A demo has been released, allowing fans to experience the game’s mechanics early. However, despite the full game being planned for multiple platforms, the demo is currently only available to PC via Steam.

The Monster Train 2 demo offers a glimpse into the game’s new clans and mechanics. In this preview, players can test out two of the five new clans: the Banished and the Pyreborne. Each clan comes with its own unique playstyle, encouraging strategic experimentation to ensure survival. Success won’t come easy, and even crushing defeats will provide valuable lessons in refining your approach in the full game.
Though the demo features a complete run experience, a significant portion of the content is locked. Many of the Titan-corrupted enemies that will appear in the full game are not present in this early version.
