Fallout: Bakersfield, a mod that attempts to remake Fallout 1 in Doom, turning the classic RPG into a fast-paced FPS, has a new trailer, and it looks awesome.

Announced in 2022 with a short teaser, Fallout: Bakersfield looks to reimagine the first Fallout game as a brutal FPS in the GZDoom Engine.
After years of silence from developer Alexander “Red888Guns” Berezin, the mod has resurfaced with a new trailer. The teaser highlights the impressive visuals and gameplay players can expect when it launches.
What Is the Fallout: Bakersfield Doom Mod?
Berezin’s mod looks to remake the original Fallout as an FPS, turning the game’s ghoul city of Necropolis into a deadly arena, where you’ll be hacking enemies to pieces and blasting them into pulp.
The mod is a new way to experience the classic RPG, reimagining one of the most iconic locations in the original, while remaining faithful to the story, all the way up to the boss fight with Harry, the Super Mutant.
What’s in the New Trailer?
In typical Fallout fashion, the new Fallout: Bakersfield trailer begins with a countdown and a screen asking us to “Please Stand By,” before a radio broadcast plays over the intro, showing us ghouls, the setting, and the protagonist.
The rest of the trailer is a blend of carnage and nostalgia, with our protagonist shooting his way through the city with recognizable Fallout weaponry in Doom-style action and visuals. The trailer ends as we meet Harry, and a final screen shows us the mod is now 60% complete.
Will You Be Able to Play It Soon?
Unfortunately, we don’t have an exact release date. The end of the trailer shows us the progression of the mod. We know weapons and UI are 50% complete, scenery is 80% complete, walls and tiles are also 80% complete, and creatures are 30% complete.
The mod is sure to attract fans of both Doom and Fallout, and although we don’t have a release date, we do at least have a trailer, which means the mod has not been abandoned and is on its way, albeit slowly.
Conclusion
The mod that turns Fallout 1 into an FPS within the GZDoom Engine has got a new trailer after three years of silence from the developer. While we don’t have an exact release date, the dev has revealed the mod is now 60% complete.

This mod makes it look like my pc should be more than capable of playing Doom: The Dark Ages but unfortunately (after buying) i didn't check the min req. I failed on the CPU mine being a Ryzen 5 3600XT, it's such a drop in mood knowing you are unable to generate funds for a new gaming rig so start seeing the signs of being left behind starting with this game. :(
