While Waiting for Cyberpunk 2 the collabs keep the hype and interest alive!

While waiting for the sequel, Cyberpunk 2077 fans are eating well with new collaborations. After its redemption arc, CD Projekt RED’s RPG continues to expand its universe. A recent crossover has players saying “it’s fire,” keeping the hype alive in Night City and beyond.

The Redemption of Night City

Since its controversial launch in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 has pulled off a massive comeback. Thanks to relentless updates from CD Projekt RED, it has finally become the deep RPG experience we were promised.

While the studio is now busy working on the sequel, the franchise’s popularity is skyrocketing. This is largely due to the hit anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and a series of smart collaborations.

One particular DLC crossover has recently caught the community’s attention, and fans are loving it.

A New Era of Collaborations

It is clear that the game remains incredibly popular in 2025. Fans are already looking forward to new content slated for 2026.

Specifically, the dystopian open world is getting a crossover expansion with Wuthering Waves. This follows a successful partnership with Guilty Gear: Strive just a few months ago.

While details on the Wuthering Waves content are scarce, the Guilty Gear update added Lucy as a playable character. We can expect something equally cool for the upcoming collab.

The “Living Legend” Event

Beyond fighting games and RPGs, a third collaboration has surprisingly taken the spotlight. It launched on October 16 within the mobile FPS Arena Breakout.

This event, titled “Living Legend,” has brought exclusive skins and special challenges to the map of Kamona.

The title is a perfect nod to the main goal in Cyberpunk 2077: becoming a legend of Night City, just like Johnny Silverhand, Judy, or Jackie.

Why Fans Are Calling It “Fire”

You might not expect a mobile game crossover to generate this much hype, but the reception has been massive.

The Cyberpunk 2077 community has flocked to Arena Breakout. Many players are expressing their excitement, with some simply stating that the update is “fire.”

Since official support for the main game has wound down—aside from minor maintenance updates—fans are hungry for content.

These collaborations are currently the best way to reunite with favorite characters and keep the spirit of CD Projekt RED’s universe alive.

The Long Wait for the Sequel

For your next true trip to Night City, patience will be required. The sequel is currently in development at the Polish studio.

However, the team is developing The Witcher 4 in parallel, which appears to be the immediate priority.

With The Witcher likely taking precedence, we probably won’t see the Cyberpunk sequel land before 2028. Despite the parallel development cycles, it’s going to be a few long years.

In Conclusion

Until Project Orion arrives, fans will have to rely on these crossovers to get their fix. The “Living Legend” event proves that the IP is strong enough to thrive even outside its own game engine.

Have you jumped into Arena Breakout to check out the skins? Are you excited for the  upcoming Collab with Wuthering Wave in 2026? Let us know in the comments!
