Metal Eden (ME) is the new sci-fi adventure shooter in first-person from the team at Reikon Games. The Polish development team behind the acclaimed top-down shooter from 2017, Ruiner. The new project was officially announced in 2021 at the Koch Media Primetime on 10 June as Final Form. Published by the Prime Matter division.

The title was affected by the restructuring of the new Plaion. Ending up handed over to Deep Silver and renamed as Metal Eden following the announcement in February 2025. A futuristic sci-fi shooter where we’ll play as the Hyper Unit ASKA on a mission to save the CORE from the threat of the orbital city Moebius. Metal Eden – Release Date Confirmed for the Sci-Fi FPS from Reikon Games

With the announcement in February of Metal Eden’s launch in May, we then had a postponement of the release date for the Reikon Games shooter. Confirming the launch for Summer 2025 instead, and the team with publisher Deep Silver finally brings the confirmation. With the news on 6 August 2025 that confirms the launch of Metal Eden for 2 September 2025.

All accompanied by the new Story Trailer, taking us into the dystopian and cyberpunk future of the game. Where we will follow the combat android Hyper Unit Aska. Who will be assigned the suicide mission to retrieve the CORE from the monolithic city of Moebius. Finally debuting on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Metal Eden: What the shooter from the team behind Ruiner offers

ME, just like Ruiner, will take us into a cyberpunk future, in the shoes of the android Aska. Tasked with the dangerous mission of retrieving the CORE from the city of MOEBIUS. Offering this time an adrenaline-pumping first-person shooter that features:

• Aska the Hyper Unit: A powerful combat Android enhanced by the Phantom Core. This allows her to unleash agility and parkour-style acrobatic moves. As well as high mobility with a Jet Pack, Grappling Hooks, and the Armored Ramball.

• Futuristic Weapons: Aska will have a solid arsenal of weapons for every occasion. With a weapon with infinite ammo, kinetic weapons useful against unarmored enemies, and energy weapons against the most ferocious and resilient foes.

• The City of Moebius: The vast monolithic orbital city operated by the mysterious Engineers. Once humanity’s hope, we now find ourselves in a deadly trap. Which hides the mysteries of the EDEN project and the event known as the Erosion Bomb.

The release date trailer leaves us with some new details about Aska. Somehow connected to the events of the Erosion Bomb. In the meantime, you can try out the updated Demo from June with performance boosts, fixes, and balancing.
