Battlefield 2042 Free Play Weekend March 2024

Battlefield 2042 free access is at it again after five months from the last free weekend. And this time, it coincides with the release of its 7th season, Turning Point. So if you were able to participate in previous free access weekends and weren’t able to buy the game, try it this time and maybe Turning Point may just be the last push you need to get it.

Season 7 brings in a new map called Haven, new weapons like AK 5C assault rifle and SCZ-3 submachine gun, and a new battle pass at launch. Then later this season, we will see a new remote-controlled stealth bomber called the XFAD-F Draugr arrive in the game. In saying that, this bomber will not be featured this coming free weekend.




Where to play Battlefield 2042 for free?

The free to play weekend is accessible to all platforms the game is available in. Just head on to the applicable platform page on the time the free access unlocks.

  • On PlayStation, from 10 PM UTC on March 20th, 2024 through 8PM UTC on March 25th, 2024.
  • On Xbox, from Wednesday 20th Mar 10PM UTC – Monday 25th Mar 8PM UTC
  • On Steam, from Thursday 21st Mar 5PM UTC – Sunday 24th Mar 5PM UTC

Once you’re in, you can play in any of the 20 maps available, drive more than 40 powerful vehicles, and use over 100 weapons and gadgets. Although you can unlock all previous and current standard battle passes as you complete assignments, you will not be able to access the premium battle passes. That one, you’d have to buy.

If you’re ready to purchase the full game, you’re assured that all progression and purchases during the free weekend will carry over.





To participate, you will need an EA account and an internet connection. And being that Battlefield 2042 is an online multiplayer game, you will also need a PS Plus or Game Pass Core subscription to access the console version.
