Hell Let Loose: Vietnam – First Gameplay Details
The “World Exclusive” trailer gives us our first real look at Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, setting the stage in 1965. Developed using Unreal Engine 5, the trailer showcases stunning visuals that perfectly capture the dense jungle canopies and river deltas, creating an intense backdrop for battles.
Expression Games has nailed the oppressive, claustrophobic feeling of Vietnam, including its vast mountain gorges that expand across large-scale maps designed for brutal, close-quarters warfare.
Gameplay Features – Asymmetric Warfare in Hell Let Loose: Vietnam
Set in 1965 and focusing on the intense clashes of the Vietnam War between the US Armed Forces and the North Vietnamese Army, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam features 50v50 multiplayer matches across six large-scale maps and 6 game modes between two very distinct forces.
While the US Armed Forces control the air with helicopters and the rivers with gunships, allowing for rapid troop deployment and fire support, the North Vietnamese Army utilizes its vast tunnel network to attack behind enemy lines and set up devastating ambushes.
The gameplay trailer highlights the intense nature of jungle warfare while introducing us to the new mechanic of being able to drag wounded teammates to safety, which comes with enhanced movement, including climbing, swimming, and crawling, which adds a whole new layer to the series.
Release Date and Platforms
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is officially confirmed for release in 2026. It will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic, and the Windows Store.
