Gran Turismo 7 Breaks Franchise Sales Record

Polyphony Digital and Sony have reported record sales for Gran Turismo 7 as the sim racer has the best-selling launch month in the franchise.

Gran Turismo 7 is the latest sim-racing game from Polyphony Digital and Sony and released in March 2022.

Gran Turismo 7’s launch month saw it set a new sales record for the franchise as it went straight to the top of US Top 20 Video Games chart.

Exact sales figures are unknown, but the video game charts show Gran Turismo 7 sold better than Horizon Forbidden West and Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Gran Turismo 7 only finished behind Elden Ring, which is not bad considering the game is a PlayStation exclusive title.

Polyphony Digital recently released Gran Turismo 7 patch 1.13 which added three new cars, a new track, and three world circuits.

Patch 1.13 also tweaks general settings, car settings, and makes further adjustments to improve the offline and online racing experience.
