Goonswarm Games Backtracks and Admits AI-Generated Material in Postal Bullet Paradise
Goonswarm Games reverses its denial, apologizes, and confirms AI-generated promo art in canceled Postal: Bullet Paradise amid studio shutdown.
After denying use of AI material in the now cancelled game, Postal Bullet Paradise, Goonswarm Games backtracks and issues an apology stating that the game, in fact, included or was influenced by AI-generated material.
Goonswarm Games Acknowledges Use of AI-Generated Material
The plot thickens in the Postal Bullet Paradise AI controversy. People got in heated arguments, fans got insulted, devs got accused, a game cancelled, and even a studio shutdown. After all that back and forth of what really happened, Goonswarm Games finally owns up to it.
When Running with Scissors mentioned “trust in the development team is broken,” everyone knew that the fault was on that end and not the community calling out “bad art.” At this time, Goonswarm still denied the claims but as RSW’s tweet went viral, they knew they had to come clean.
A follow-up tweet on the studio’s official X account confirmed that there was AI material in Postal Bullet Paradise…up to a certain degree. Contrary to public opinion, the studio claims it only appeared in the promo art and does not concern the real artists who worked on gameplay assets.
They also mentioned, in relation to the promo art, that those were works of external artists they collaborated with over the years. And at that time, the assets look legitimate within their internal pipeline, hence, the profuse denial of allegations. And to this, they take the responsibility for not catching it earlier.

Although the studio pretty much went down in flames, they will close down in good faith. Goonswarm Games said that they will replace all disputed promo art across all their projects with real art from real human beings. This, however, will take time considering the remaining resources they have left.
