Frostpunk 2 is an upcoming city-building survival game set 30 years after the events of the first game.
You will once again be tasked with leading a group of survivors in a frozen wasteland but this time, the threat is not just the cold but also the rising tensions between different factions within the city. A lot of moral decisions will have to be made in order to keep the community impact and for the society to grow.
While the game is mostly focused on city-building and survival, there will also be some exploration mixed in. You can send out scouts to explore new areas and even build outposts in order to gather resources and expand the territory.
The much awaited Frostpunk 2 has now been given a release date. The sequel to the popular survival game is scheduled to release on July 25, 2024 on PC. It will also launch day-one on PC Game Pass.
While this is great news, console players will have to wait longer. It is announced that the game will have a Playstation and Xbox versions but it will not be released with the PC one. But one thing is confirmed, Frostpunk 2 will join Xbox Game Pass too.
Apart from Frostpunk 2 release date revealed, the preorder bonus for the digital Deluxe Edition has also been announced. No pre purchase rewards for the Standard edition unfortunately.
On top of the 10% discount for preordering this Deluxe edition on Steam, you also get to enjoy a closed beta on the Sandbox mode and a 72-hour early access on the Story mode.

I loved the first game so much, the hostile, mature atmosphere. This will definitely be my game for this summer, it’ll be a bit refreshing aha… I can’t wait to see all the new mechanisms they’ve put in place, they’ve taken their time with development, which is a good sign.
I already knew that I will pre-order Frostpunk 2 the day it was only announced. But the fact that it will come with beta access to an endless mode makes it even more exciting! Can’t wait to finally play the most anticipated game on my wishlist.
