Sports Interactive has revealed that women’s football is coming to Football Manager 2026 with officially licensed leagues, clubs, kits, and players. The series’ newest feature will be available from launch when FM26 releases for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 4, 2025.
In a historic step, Football Manager 2026 introduces women’s football to the long-running franchise, complete with leagues, players, and clubs.
The feature has been in development since 2021, and Sports Interactive originally planned to add it in Football Manager 2025 before it was cancelled earlier this year.

For the first time, players will soon be able to manage fully licensed women’s teams in Football Manager 2026 across 12 official leagues, including the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
The inclusion of women’s football is a massive step towards full inclusivity in the series, and the official licenses ensure an authenticity never before seen in women’s sports in video gaming.

Football Manager 2026 offers realistic player statistics, tactical options, training systems, and authentic match-day experiences specifically designed for the women’s game.
Reflecting the differences between the men’s and women’s game, FM26 accurately reflects real-world contracts, transfer fees, and injuries in the modern women’s game. While the same 20-point attribute scale is used across both the men’s and women’s modes, stats, and abilities are relative to the female and male databases.
