Hollow Knight Silksong – Release & Demo at Gamescom
Hollow Knight Silksong is the most anticipated indie title of recent years. On Steam, the game is on the wishlist of nearly 5 million players, and the hype shows no signs of slowing down. It is the second game in the Hollow Knight franchise, and while there have been numerous delays over the years, the release is now within reach.
At last, there is a release window, and in just a few days, players will finally have the chance to play a demo at Gamescom. This will be the first time fans get hands-on experience with the game since the E3 2019, making it the first opportunity in six years to try it out directly.

There is still no exact release date, but the game is expected to launch later this year. It will be available on PC, Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation, and Xbox, and will also be included in the Xbox Game Pass from day one. Many hope that a precise release date for Hollow Knight Silksong will be announced during Gamescom. In addition, the game has also been confirmed as a launch title for the ROG Ally X.
Playable at Gamescom and PAX
As mentioned before, players will be able to try a second demo of Silksong at Gamescom. Afterward, the game will also be showcased at PAX West in Seattle at the end of the month. In the game, you take on the role of protagonist Hornet as you explore the new kingdom of Pharloom. Expect more acrobatics, faster healing, a quest system, and over 160 new enemies. The result is a blend of classic Hollow Knight elements with exciting new innovations. However, whether the exact release date will finally be revealed at Gamescom remains to be seen.
