Top PS VR2 VR Games for PC: Support Coming in 2024

We now know that in recent years PlayStation has not only been officially porting exclusives to PC with good success, from titles like Spider-Man Remastered and Miles Morales, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, to even the great success of Helldivers 2. With many new titles on the way, Sony’s in-house studio is also integrating native support for these titles, many with DualSense support.

The next step that many hope for is regarding PlayStation VR 2, with potential support on the PC platform alongside some of the exclusive titles. And it seems that the team is indeed experimenting with the possibility.

PSVR 2 Compared to PC VR OPTIONS

PlayStation’s second-generation headset is definitely a big step up from the first. PSVR 2 brings:

  • OLED Display, 2000×2040 resolution per eye, and refresh rates of 90Hz, 120Hz
  • Adjustable lens distance, 110-degree field of view
  • Sensors: Six-axis Motion Sensing System, Proximity IR Sensor
  • 4 cameras in the headset and an IR tracking camera for eye movement tracking
  • Integrated vibration in the headset, USB Type-C connector, Integrated microphone, headphone jack

All of this comes at a retail price of €599 / $599. This generally puts it in comparison with Meta Quest 3, which is around the same price but offers lower-quality LCD screens. While other options aren’t necessarily better, where Valve’s Index, considered one of the best for tracking, brings lower-quality screens and resolution at a higher price (base version at €799 and full kit at €1079). Not to mention Apple’s Vision Pro, which uses extremely high-quality micro-OLED screens but, albeit capable, is not dedicated to gaming, offering a maximum refresh rate of only 100Hz, not to mention the prohibitive price. In short, the PSVR 2 is one of the best VR headsets available, especially for the price, and would attract many PC users.

New PSVR 2 Games Coming, Eventually on PC Too

In a recent article on the official PlayStation blog, the team announces not only the arrival of some quality VR titles to enjoy on PSVR 2 but also that they are working on integrating PSVR 2 into PC so that players can enjoy even more games, all hoping for 2024.
