#1: The Legend of Zelda: The Best Birthday Cake
In our first clip, we see a birthday cake. This The Legend of Zelda themed cake was made by a mother for her son’s 18th birthday. She does not do this professionally and spent over 40 hours finishing the cake. Was it worth the time? Judging by how it looks, definitely. Hopefully it tasted just as good as it looks. A lot of attention was paid to the details of the cake, but you can see that best for yourself.
@thecompulsivecreator I’m not a professional, but I do make my kid’s birthday cakes. Approx. 40+ hours went into this one. #zelda #legendofzelda #cake ♬ original sound – Compulsivecreator
#2: Doom: Now the Game Even Runs on a Brain
The trend of running Doom on different devices is nothing new anymore. Now scientists at Cortical Labs have trained human brain cells to play the video game Doom. For this, around 200,000 human neurons were turned into a kind of microchip, creating a biological computer. In the clip you can see real gameplay from it! Let us see where the Doom trend will go in the coming years.
@ledgermedia In a major step forward for biological computing, researchers at Cortical Labs trained living human brain cells to play the classic 1993 video game Doom. The scientists connected the brain cells to a special microchip in a system called DishBrain. The chip sends electrical signals that turn the game’s information into impulses the neurons can understand. By giving the cells feedback based on what was happening in the game, the researchers were able to train them to react and improve over time. The brain cells eventually learned how to move around the 3D game environment and respond to enemies. This is an important step because earlier experiments only showed brain cells playing very simple 2D games. Teaching them to interact with a more complex game shows how biological computing could become much more advanced in the future. CC: Cortical Labs

#3: Arc Raiders: How Shredders Become Your Best Blind Friends
Our last clip today comes from Arc Raiders. In it, a player blinded a dangerous Shredder using fireworks. Because of that it was basically harmless, since it only attacks when it sees someone. Does that mean you can now go on an adventure with your new friend? Kind of, because if you stand too close it will still attack, but thanks to the fireworks it looks even more spectacular.
