Shadow of the Tomb Raider is an action-adventure game, sequel to Rise of the Tomb Raider and the twelfth main entry in the Tomb Raider series. It is the final chapter of Lara Croft’s origin story.

The game is played from a third-person perspective as Lara Croft explores places across Central and South America, including Mexico and Peru, to stop a Mayan apocalypse.

The gameplay is similar to the previous games in the reboot trilogy, with a focus on exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving. The game also features a new barter system that allows you to trade and sell resources.




What happened to Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition Game Pass addition?

If you have an active Game Pass subscription, you can start playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider for free starting April 11, 2024. It is available for Game Pass PC, Console, and Xbox Cloud Gaming subscribers.

This is the second time the game was available on Game Pass. It was first added in 2019 and then left February 2020. Being that it is a solid game with a lot of content to explore, many gamers were saddened by its departure. But not anymore as Microsoft announced that it was making a comeback this month. And it was an even more welcomed news as the Definitive Edition was set to join Game Pass April 2024.

However fast forward to today, the Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition was not available to download for subscribers. Turns out, only the base game is.



While it is still a great addition to the lineup this month, disappointment was shared across members especially for those who waited for years for the game to come back in service, anticipating the Definitive Edition inclusion.
