Resident Evil 7 Biohazard first launched in January 2017 and marked a bold reinvention for the long-running series. Developed by Capcom, the game shifted to a first-person perspective and leaned heavily into psychological horror, placing players in the shoes of Ethan Winters as he searches for his missing wife inside a decaying, hostile Louisiana estate. Its tense atmosphere, resource management, and relentless enemies helped restore the franchise’s survival horror identity while introducing it to a new generation.

Today, the game officially rejoins Xbox Game Pass, arriving as what was supposed to be the final addition to the March 2026 lineup. It is now available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium , and PC members, playable across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and cloud gaming.
