PlayStation Plus Extra Free Games For August 2025
With eleven new titles joining the service, PS Plus Extra and Premium members are spoiled for choice this month. Leading the charge is the 2023 fighting game Mortal Kombat 1, a brutal, cinematic brawler that remains one of the most talked-about fighting games of the generation. Sharing the spotlight is Marvel’s Spider-Man, with PS5 players swinging into the enhanced Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, while PS4 players get the complete Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition.
August also marks another win for day-one content with the arrival of Sword of the Sea, making it the third consecutive month the subscription has launched a brand-new game on day one. Why should Xbox Game Pass have all the fun with day-one launches!
The rest of the lineup rounds out with a mix of acclaimed titles across different genres including the stop-motion-styled adventure Harold Halibut, the thought-provoking narrative Indika, the over-the-top action of Earth Defense Force 6, the tactical fantasy epic Unicorn Overlord, the charming JRPG Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key, and the relaxing farming sim Coral Island.

PlayStation Plus Premium Games For August 2025
As for the PlayStation Plus Premium additions, two classic Capcom titles from the Resident Evil franchise will be added. Both Resident Evil 2 and 3 will be playable on both Playstation 4 and Playstation 5.

Also for the Premium tier is the addition of Death Stranding 2 On The Beach on Game Trials. Starting August 19th, members can play the game for up to 5 hours. Should you decide to continue the journey and get a copy, your progress and trophies will carry over as well.
