Xbox Game Pass Standard tier is getting some love today as three new games enter its library. Members will now be able to join subscribers on Ultimate and PC play COD Modern Warfare 3, For the King 2, and Overthrown.
New Games Have Joined Xbox Game Pass Standard Today
September’s first half was quiet for all tiers but the second half is back with a vengeance. Massive list for the last 15 days of the month and to start it off are three new entries on Standard tier, the Xbox One launch of Commandos Origins which is already on Game Pass, and the day-one launch of Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor.
Since Commandos Origins is already in service (previously exclusive to Xbox Series X|S) and Deep Rock Galactic Survivor will have its own dedicated launch article, let’s go over the Standard additions for this writeup.
COD Modern Warfare 3, For the King 2, and Overthrown have finally made their way to the Standard tier. It is specifically special for Overthrown as it enters the library before its full release on October 16th. Meaning, Standard members will actually get to experience a day-one launch.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
The game is a fast-paced FPS from Sledgehammer Games and a direct sequel to Modern Warfare II, bringing back Captain Price and Task Force 141 to battle the notorious war criminal Vladimir Makarov. Marking the franchise’s 20th anniversary, it delivers the largest collection of multiplayer maps yet, including all 16 classic maps from the original Modern Warfare 2 (2009) reimagined, plus new 6v6 maps rolling out post-launch.

Play solo or join up to six players in cooperative online gameplay, working together to build, fight, and survive in a living, unpredictable world.
