Announced nearly five years ago in December 2021, the tactical espionage revival has faced severe developmental friction. Leadership changes and narrative rewrites have continuously expanded the production timeline.

Henderson reports that the project remains active. However, the recent workforce reductions have severely impacted its immediate trajectory, necessitating the internal delay.

While Sam Fisher waits in the wings, Edward Kenway is returning ahead of schedule. Ubisoft confirmed an official showcase for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced on April 23 at 18:00 CEST.

However, footage has already leaked online. X user @intercelluar shared an 11-second clip and multiple screenshots from the upcoming 1-minute and 8-second reveal trailer.

The leaked cutscenes display highly detailed character models and explosive naval combat. Independent reports confirm the remake will officially launch on July 9, 2026, introducing brand-new content alongside the visual overhaul.


Far Cry Production Hurdles and the Ghost Recon Future
