Monster Hunter Wilds director Yuya Tokuda revealed in a message to fans in May 2025 that Title Update 2 will introduce more content than many expected, including new tempered eight-star monsters, with stronger monsters planned for future updates. These will come alongside the update’s flagship and fan-favorite monster Lagiacrus.

Aside from new monsters, hunters can expect to see the implementation of layered weapons and quality-of-life improvements. These enhancements will separate the Seikret movement from the hunter movement, provide an improved way to view skill details and implement balance changes to enhance weapon usability.

When and How to Access the Update

Title Update 2 will be free to download globally across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC by the end of June. Capcom has not announced an exact release date but will likely reveal more details in a livestream closer to the launch.

The Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 was 10GB on Xbox and PS5, while on PC, it ranged from 6GB to 16GB depending on whether players downloaded the high-resolution pack.
